Under Danish copyright law, the shopping list, as being a catalog
or table, is protected for 15 years after its first publication.
Such catalog protection (then 10 years) was introduced in the
copyright laws of Denmark, Sweden and Norway in the 1960s. Later
it has been extended to 15 years. This was the main inspiration
for the database protection introduced in the European Union at
the end of the 1990s.
Just don't assume that your own country's copyright law is the
same as everybody else's.
