As a side-note to this debate, the OSM Foundation board - that's  
Steve, Andy, Etienne, Corey, Mike Collinson, Mikel, and me - is  
actively considering issues around the OSM licence, with particular  
regard to recent, and upcoming, developments in data licensing.

We have made contact with others with an interest in the field, and  
though it's early days yet, I hope we'll have further progress to  
report in the New Year.
