My $0.02:

I'm for PD generally, but I would be against going PD with OSM.

That is because I got a source of data that is CC-by-SA licensed
and most probably I could not use it for PD database. I'm afraid
that there is quite a lot of data with the same problem and I don't
want to be left with here-be-dragons map.

So, let's stick to the status quo.
