Can we *please* "assume good faith" to borrow a phrase from Wikipedia.

A phone conference makes the people organizing it available and
accountable. Here's our chance to put our questions and concerns
directly and get an answer or acknowledgment in real time.

Issues from the wiki and this list, which we *know* are consulted by
the board, can be raised during the call.

A Saturday won't clash with our busy work and education schedules. Yes
it clashes with our home lives, but that is a single variable rather
than the endless variables of meeting and lecture schedules.

English is the (de facto) language of the board and of the call's
organizers. If any of us can help pay for translation services or
suggest a better idea than that it be held in our own language
instead, that would ameliorate this for people whose first language
isn't English.

Two conferences at (e.g.) 9am and 9pm might be better because of the
time zone issue. Timing can be a killer, I've had to get up/stay up
at/to ridiculous hours for online meet-ups with people on the West
coast of the US for example. But I've been involved in both of two
meetings where decisions arrived at in the morning were reversed in
the evening, and that didn't make the first group very happy at all.
On balance, I personally would rather set my alarm clock than get
gazumped.

- Rob.
