I have thought about that,
if osm wants to relicenses it in the future, they will have to delete
it later on.
I guess the contributor terms are the real hitch in this one.

I see, and there is no way around this? So everyone in the world
become bound by the contributor terms? does anything think this is
even feasible?

does that mean that I will have to go back to these guys and tell them
that not only the incomprehensible license i just sent them is needed,
but a blanko check that they trust the decisions of the OSM to do
whatever they what whenever they want however they want for all
eternity?

What type of license is that?
