For those who like 'source' tags, there could be an official lookup table
from source name to copyright statement, as

    Manitoba  =>  (C) HM the Queen in right of Manitoba blah blah
    OS*       =>  Crown Copyright Ordnance Survey blah blah

This table could be smuggled into the planet file somehow, and then you have
a copyright notice included with the data but without unmanageably long strings
on every object.

However, if they'll accept a blanket attribution on the wiki, that is certainly
simpler.
