[OSM-legal-talk] A questionable data source usage in Haiti in 2010

The question seems to crop up at least once per year, in general I would
suggest searching the forums, mailing lists and help site for answers
before jumping to conclusions.

That said, your question is oddly ambivalent, so just to be clear: the
permission granted in 2010 to use google provided imagery narrowly
applied to the imagery available at that time, and the purpose of the
Haitian relief effort underway back then. It clearly doesn't extend to
use of google imagery in the decade following and now, and definitely
not for any other purpose than originally indicated.

Outside of that there is no reason to believe that data traced from
imagery back in2010/2011 is in any way tainted and couldn't be used in
current OSM.
