[Mailman] Ending a mailing list

Dear Mailman

As per mentions on the moderation at openstreetmap.org mailing list, it
is felt its time has come to an end.

I see that lists like Talk-london and talk-midlands not longer exist,
so it must be possible to delete or otherwise end a mailing list,
however I can not find instructions on how to do so, so I am hoping
that this email (as put forwards to contact with mailing list queries
will give the answers Peter seeks).
