I have seen an OSM mailing list called research-announce at lists.openstreetmap.org<mailto:research-announce at lists.openstreetmap.org>, dedicated to announcing and publishing OSM-related research advertised on the OSM Wiki page and other external blogs and sites. Are you able to confirm whether this list is active and in use?
