Dear OSM Community,
I'm contacting you upon recommendation of Matthieu Noucher, Director of Research
at French CNRS.
I'm currently working on a photographic research project under the mentorship of
Lila Neutre (artist-researcher and ENSP doctoral student) on the subject of
fictitious entries in cartography.
Below is a short description of the project:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R8lex7Qrk8MRrVc3luTQvCnrIoAbUII2/view?usp=drive_link
More specifically, I'm looking to identify maps containing fictitious streets,
towns or areas designed to protect the intellectual property of their authors
(trap streets, paper towns, etc.). This was a common practice at one time to
protect the intellectual property of cartographers.
Are you aware of any such documents in your archives or code? Do you know the
best way to proceed with my research / who I could contact?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,Sofia Lambrou
