OK - Fixed it.

>From Wireshark it appeared that maybe it was a problem with differences in
the cookies used by Firefox and IE. However I also noticed a small
difference in cache control.

So - In IE11   tools / internet options / browsing history / settings

I changed from Automatic to check every time I visit the webpage and this
solved the issue.
Too easy!!!
