[Merkaartor] Issues with recent changes

Good evening,

I'm having a few issues with the recent changes to merkaartor. I have
created a page with some screenshots and the gpx-file I have used to
create the screenshots here:

Executive Summary:

 * Showing PNGs for trackpoints makes merkaartor sloooooooowww. I am
     unable to find a way to revert to the old way of showing "grey dots"

     Ideally I would like e.g. grey dots for trackpoings and red dots
     for waypoints.

 * Deleting a single waypoint deletes more than the one waypoint

 * Zooming in makes merkaartor slooooow (see screenshots).
