Wow! Great! I really love programs that leave the keyboard mapping up
to the user.

Talking of UI-editors: It would be great to have editable tag presets,
since obviously tagging styles are *very* regional.
By presets I mean things like "residential + bike lanes", "foot &
bikeway", "muddy track" (--> highway=track, tracktype=grade4) etc.

Right, but don't forget the second part of the sentence:

I think it is very important to have a means to see the invisibles,
either by a "show all" option or - better to my opinion - by area
selection.
