i don't see this bug at the moment..., yes it seems to be random.

about two weeks ago, there was a yahoo layer bug that looked differently:
the image was fine at the top, the rest to the bottom looked like one
pixel line was repeated to the bottom, a smearing effect.
IIRC, the ratio good : ugly was variable.

the recent yahoo bug looked differently: image only at the upper left
corner, always the same size, the rest of the background blank.
