[Merkaartor] Merkaartor v14 - new JOSM compatibility / numeric ID usage

Downloaded/built rev 14944 and notice the new numeric ID usage.

If I start a new file and add roads/nodes, it generates integer IDs.
If I start with an old file and add roads/nodes, it generates integer IDs
for new additions.

Is there possibly a tool to take a file an flip 'old guid-key' style IDs to
integer/numerics ?
