[Merkaartor] .mas to mapnik conversion

Hi,

Is there a way to convert merkaartor .mas xml style to mapnik xml
style ? (xsl ?)

The syntax looks similar thought:
<selector expr="[highway] isoneof (motorway , motorway_link)"/>
<Filter>[waterway]='canal' and not ([tunnel] = 'yes' or [tunnel] ='true')</Filter> 

I was wondering if someone has already worked into that direction.

The usecase would be using merkaartor as a style editor for mapnik
rendered tiles.
