Okay, got it working again. I had a layer that was a Yahoo layer,
which was unselected, and then a dirty layer, and uploaded layer which
were selected (visible). With no specific location selected, there's
obviously a problem when the Yahoo layer tries to load. I figured that
with the layer unselected that it would not try and grab the tiles.

I think Merkaartor needs to either not load if there's no location
selected, or not save the Yahoo layer selection, and default to
starting with the "None" layer selected.

Thanks for helping me through the issue. I can continue to play with
OSM data now!
