[Merkaartor] Problems loading a GeoTIFF

Hi
I am having trouble loading a GeoTIFF in Merkaartor. I rightclick Map -
GeoTIFF - Load image... and select the image, but nothing happens.
Merkaartor seems to ignore my request. Am I missing something?
