What  do you mean by "constant"? The flicker/rendering is actually disabled
while editing (i.e. moving node, creating stuff, ...) in quick and
wireframe editing.

Wireframe mode and wireframe style are different. Using style "None" is
equivalent to wireframe mode (so actually this style doesn't make sense
anymore).
