One can use the following trick: create a node, apply paste tags, edit
the tags, copy & delete the node.
To simplify the procedure, you could allow to edit an object that is
in the clipboard using the normal tag editor. Simply show the
clipboard contend when no other object is selected.

Maybe infrastructure (e.g. a repository @ merkaartor.be) would
help to collect them. Same applies to styles.
