[OSM-newbies] New Garmin questions

I just got my new Garmin HCx. I want to make
sure I'm creating data that's usable by OSM.
Do I want WAAS on or off?
I think the wiki said to set the track to time
interval. Why not distance?
If I set the track to store to the microSD card
then should I have wrap when full or or off?
When it wraps does it wrap the data on the SD card also?
Which way is the best way to set the altimeter?
Can I find a highway sign with the altitude and set it by hand?
