[OSM-newbies] roundabout at end of streets

Why do we tag roundabouts as a separate entity anyway? I would argue that
it is because the roundabout is a separate entity from the streets around
it. If Smith Street and Wilson Street meet in a roundabout, the roundabout
is neither Smith Street nor Wilson Street (or perhaps it's both, but that's
a philosophical argument). The roundabout may indeed have its own name, e.g.
St. Anne's Place. This distinction will be even more important when someone
develops an application that creates directions from the database.

On the other hand, if Carver Road ends in a cul-de-sac, the cul-de-sac part
is usually still Carver Road, so I'd say it's not a roundabout for OSM
purposes.
