Have a look at BSGPSPDA - - you can find it on the Wiki. It use OSM 
Osmarender or Mapnik tiles and move them according to your current position. 
You can overlay your track on the map and instantly see if anything is 
missing or wrong. Tracks are exported in GPX for input to JOSM. Osmers are 
getting good results using this free software
