[OSM-newbies] gpx logs for evidence ?

I drive everywhere with my gps logging turned on - hence I have a fairly
significant
number of logs for the same area.

I convert these to ways on a regular basis without uploading them - should I
be uploading them
to provide 'evidence' of the source of the ways ?

If so, should I Just run them through the basic gpsbabel scripts mentioned
on the wiki, or should
I try to filter them down just a sensible number of passes ?

And finally - if I should filter them better - does anyone know of tools to
graphically edit gpx logs,
on either Linux or windows ?
