[OSM-newbies] OpenLayers with OSM

I wondered if anyone has OSM working with the latest OpenLayers API - I
think there's a new release from the one used for www.openstreetmap.org and
the new version doesn't work with OSM, at least not out of the box.

I picked up the LikeGoogle.js class and added it into OpenLayers but there
are still a few issues - I'm hoping maybee someone has already solved this?

Also - I wondered if anyone is interested in / working on a slippymap
editor?  Looks like the new OpenLayers can do pretty much everything that
would be required.  Is there an interface definition - I guess it would be
cool if it worked the same way as potlatch to ease integration.
