Hi!

You might want to get whole planet file
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Planet.osm
then use osmosis
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Osmosis
to extract the areas you need.

Links to some ready made extracts are on
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Planet.osm

Due to rapid planet.osm growth there are talks now on the mailing list
to provide some larger extracts already on the osm servers (eg whole
Europe) to ease such tasks.
