[OSM-newbies] Startup mapping questions

Thanks, no the wmsplugin does not get downloaded. When I try that manually,
the chippy5000 web-site is inaccessible. As I live in China, I never know
whether it is a blocked web-site or whether it just does not work. Are there
any alternative locations from which I could download?
