We made a decision early on that we would not have off the ground data in
OSM, flight paths gathered by GPS was the example being discussed at the
time. If the object or feature is natural or man-made and fixed to the
planet then its right that it's added to OSM. If it's an arbitrary feature
unconnected with the ground or something in the air it should not be added
to OSM.
Airspace Structure Data that is not related to the ground is not therefore
something that would benefit OSM at the current time, we simply don't have
the tools to edit and display it separately from ground data. Maybe in the
future we will have layering that makes it feasible, who knows.
Cheers
Andy
