[OSM-newbies] How to map a place that allows to cross a waterway=stream

I would tag this as a ford.

"A ford is a place in a watercourse (most commonly a stream or river)
that is shallow enough to be crossed by wading, on horseback, or in a
wheeled vehicle."

A ford can be of any width, size and shape, as long as it is passable
(most of the time) by the vehicles (cars, horses, pedestrians, etc.)
it is intended for.  The image on the map features page shows a very
small ford passable by all cars.  Some fords are deep with strong
currents only intended for large cars and competent drivers:

A ford on a path is no different, it is still a ford and should be
tagged as such.
