[OSM-newbies] where's the toilet?

Probably a dumb newbie question but I notice that public toilets that I 
have added to the map (tagged as amenity=toilets) do not render on the 
slippy map (Mapnik or Osmarender) at any zoom.  Ditto with Tourist 
Information Centres (tagged as tourism=information).

Have I tagged them okay?

If so, should this sort of thing be raised as a bug (or feature request)?
