[OSM-newbies] Village_pump

[Roland OSM]

Thanks! So someone needs three to five accounts and people
check all these channels?

1) a (or several) mailing-list account(s) to ask questions
2) a wiki-account to ask in the wiki (it seems that anonymous edits are not
allowed)
3) another account for editing the map
4) an account for the forum (no anonymous posting there)
5) an irc account

For the last days I have been trying to find out how the OSM project
works. I am an advanced user in several wikis, however,
apart from the fact that editing map data is by nature more
complex than editing text ... is this extra level of confusion
necessary or did it just happen?

I guess several people have asked this question before ... ;-)
