[OSM-newbies] Invalid TCP packet received from a.tah.openstreetmap.org

For the last few weeks, I have been having trouble viewing the
information freeway (www.informationfreeway.org/). What happens is that
my Linksys BEFSX41 firewall detects invalid packets and drops them.
Thereafter much of the communication is blocked by the firewall because
it no longer sees a sequence of related packets.
For example
2008-07-30 21:25:02 41437/TCP from 137.110.119.130:80 to (address
removed):41437 Invalid TCP packet received, dropping packet
137.110.119.130 is a.tah.openstreetmap.org
My Linksys router/firewall is running version 1.52.15 which is the
latest as far as I can discover. More to the point, that same firmware
has been running for many months and the firewall configuration has not
changed. But the problems with www.informationfreeway.org have only
started in the last few weeks. On the other hand I did have a firefox
upgrade which might have been around the same time that I first noticed
the problem. But then I see that same problem on another machine behind
the same firewall running an entirely different version of firefox.
I do not have the problem with other sites, although I am not entirely
certain about openstreetmap itself.
Can anyone throw any light on this? I guess that I could reach for
wireshark, but I suspect I would have difficulty in recognising the
protocols in use...
