[OSM-newbies] Incorrect scale or longitude when exporting maps?

No, that's not the problem.  The problem is that if I zoom around 
the slippy map at zoom=5, and click Export, it is preset to scale 
1:14 million independent of which latitude I'm on.  It should 
probably say zoom=5 and not mention scale at all, because the 
actual scale varies with the latitude.
