[OSM-newbies] how to scroll over the map in JOSM?

hi there...

yesterday i subscribed and started working on the map. it's a nice
thing. now i know, why i have a motorcycle :-)

JOSM unfortunately looks really strange to me. I can zoom in and zoom
out with the mouse and the scroll wheel.

but how can i scroll over the map?

an example: i want to add a new street. The street is going from north
to south. to paint it best i zoom in and paint short pices. after a
while, i have to scroll.

but how can I do this the easiest way? if i do it with the cursors,
sometimes it doesn't scroll but selects an other option on the right
site of the screen.

whats the best way to do this? in other CAD softwares i use, there is a
button with a hand on to do this scroll operation. is there something
like this in JOSM?
