[OSM-newbies] Potlatch not displaying anything but points

In potlatch the ways should download, but normally take longer. On occasion
if the server is being really slow they dont actually arrive. Not much you
can do about that if it should happen.
The reason you have a problem with JOSM is you are really trying to load too
big a file. The normal method with JOSM is to select the area you want to
edit (JOSM will tel you if it exceeds the 0.25 deg limit for API downloads)
and then download the current data. You should always use the current data
from the server rather than any older saved file.
