[OSM-newbies] JOSM - Display vertical compression correction

I seem to remember reading somewhere in the pages about the vertical
compression for display of tracks in JOSM and I think with a way to correct
this.

Did not take note of location and despite various searches, have not found
again.  Can anyone point me to the right location.  (Windows Xp.)
