[OSM-newbies] JOSM-file read error - invalid version 0

Was that Intrepid or Jaunty?

Josm is changing fast enough that the Ubuntu version often trails
badly trails, I was advised to remove the Ubuntu install and just
download the jar and add-ons direct [ http://josm.openstreetmap.de/ ]
. Right now, just after Jaunty release, it's not too stale, 1529 is
supposedly stable and just new enough to work with api 0.6, but
-latest is up to 1555 or higher, may include some fixes you need.
