Two main sources. ebay and second-hand bookshops. Two or three suitable maps
come up on ebay each week (ie ones that are close to or out of copyright.
It's often better in local second hand bookshops if the local map dealer
hasn’t been in before you ;-) however prices are often higher than ebay so I
usually haggle and turn down if its more than a couple of quid.

Some of the ones I have originally came from school and college geography
departments that have found their way into the commercial market.

They are also available from David Archer maps [1] but the cost is usually
around £6-8. If you want to purchase through that route then get in touch
first in case I already have a suitable version in the collection. Note also
that flat versions of the sheets are better for scanning than folded ones
when purchasing from David Archer.

Worth pointing out that many of the maps that have a 1980's cover are
actually just reprints of an earlier published map so its necessary to check
the published/revised or copyright date on each map. The cover doesn’t give
away any clues.

Cheers

Andy
