All,

I have to agree.  As someone who has many Muslim friends and lived in the
Arab world, I was kind of pissed.

I expect more from people involved in public/open-source projects.  If you
are willing to work hard with people you have never met to further the
public interest, I did not think you would discriminate against any of the
public's access to geodata on the basis of religion.

I could go on colorful rant on the contribution of Arabo-Muslim history to
scientific endeavor, especially navigation, but I get the feeling such
signatures are motivated by supreme belief in your own knowledge at the
expense of others.
