i am just starting too and found stevec's videos here useful - note these are
higher resolution than youtube (considerably) and include helpful audio comments

note that this website seems underpowered and therefore couldn't stream the
flash videos fast enough to view properly (lots of pauses to rebuffer).

however, if you register on the website you then have the option to download the
.flv (flash) files to your own computer and can then view the files direct
(Linux/ubuntu) or download a free flash view (Windows XP).

it would be great if these files were hosted somewhere on the OSM wiki...
