[OSM-newbies] Unable to upload to OSM from JOSM

I also had a problem with JOSM version 0.6, I resolved this by editing
the (data.)osm file:
in line 2 change

<osm version='null' generator='JOSM'>

to

<osm version='0.6' generator='JOSM'>

imo this is a bug in JOSM that should be resolved.
