[OSM-newbies] service:alley or highway:residential?

How about highway:service with a service attribute of driveway?
A driveway is a service road leading to a residence or business,
usually with private access. Use with highway=service
Not sure how you tag that though... I haven't seen a sub-attribute in
use yet to figure it out.
