[OSM-newbies] Putting many markers on OSM

Say I want to show some Institutions of higher learning in India. I have a list:

lat1,long1,IITR
lat2,long2,University_of_OS_mapping
-,-,-
-,-,-

and like that I have 12 entries.

I would like to show above 12 with some marker and/or  text of 3rd column.

I guess this will come under "Mashup".
