I think the amenity=place_of_worship tag should only be on the church 
building area, not on the surrounding grass or car park etc. The church 
car park is not a "place of worship".
Also, the name / religion / denomination tags should be on the church 
building area, and the separate node deleted (and the same for the nodes 
on the village green, bowling green etc).

Also, what James says: you should check that areas are joined up, 
without gaps in between. eg, there is a small gap between the carpark 
area and the meadow area. If they are right next to each other,  then 
the areas should be overlapping / sharing nodes.
And the same for barriers (hedges or fences): they should be sharing 
nodes with the areas they are around - ie the meadow goes right up to 
the hedge.

landuse=grass is available as a preset in JOSM, and I think it is 
rendered in Mapnik (though its not in Map Features). I think its better, 
if its just an area of grass, without meadow flowers etc.
