Hi Ed
Isn't OCM already doing this with highway=footway? It displays it but 
there is no implication that they're suitable for bicycles.

I think all paths should be shown. Interpreting a map is done my being 
aware of all physical objects. For example, knowing that the path you 
want is behind the church that your approaching.

This applies to all paths. Occasionally a cycleway can be very near a 
footway. If only the cycleway was displayed it could be confusing which 
one to take,.

Doesn't bicycle=yes/no already do that?

Another problem I've noticed is with pedestrian area:

Area=Yes
Highway=Pedestrian
Name=BlahBlah

It renders the border of the area as ways.
Example:

Where can I log this as a bug/request for OCM. The set-up of OSM 
forums/mailing lists still confuses me somewhat.
