[OSM-newbies] one way for cars, two way for bikes

I later found that wiki page describing the three types yet I don't know if it matches my case:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Cycleway
On Kent Ave, The cycle lanes are painted on the street. On the ride side of the street, when you are traveling north, there are two painted bike lanes, one for bikes to travel north and one for bikes to travel south. At times these painted lanes are separated from the vehicle traffic by parked cars. On the left side of the street there is one lane for motor vehicles to travel south.
The issue i have is that I can see that opposite_lane means there is a painted lane where cyclists can travel against the one way, but I want to know if it means cyclists can also travel in the direction of the ways. When you say opposite, does it mean opposite only?
opposite_lane
The route is a lane, but bicycles may go in the direction opposite of other traffic. Only applies where oneway=yes.
