[OSM-newbies] OSM and Linux

Hello Ivan,

Thanks for your reply.

I do have gnash installed (version 0.8.4-2) and I didn't have any
problems until now. But there is something I could try: there are two
different types of gnash, one that uses AGG (?) as rendering backend,
and another one that uses OpenGL. I will change to the OpenGL type and
see if it changes anything.

As for JOSM, it does start in a console, but it will not load any
plugins, it brings following error message:

"access denied (java.io.FilePermissions /home/../.josm/plugins/validator
read)"

The plugin has proper rights (664).

Any clue to this?

Regards
Martin

For potlatch, make sure you've for either adobe flash or gnash properly
installed.

For JOSM, run it inside a console ("java -jar josm-latest.jar") and tell us
the output there.

shadow will be shown.-And we-we still have to vanquish his shadow, too.
