Wow! Thank you!
It wasn't all my work, but it was my idea. I thought it was too simple to
be useful, and I was surprised that there wasn't anything like it already.
It was a good way to experiment with XSLT and OpenLayers.
I don't have much time at the moment, but the next step is to write a
script that automates the POI textfile generation for OpenLayers.
1) Download map.osm for my town
2) Run the XSLT several times for different amenities
3) Upload the POI textfiles to my webpage
I'll set this to run automatically every week or so, or on demand.
One advantage to this is that the POI text files can be overlaid onto any
map, so even if a particular map provider doesn't render a certain amenity
I can still see a marker for it.
