[OSM-newbies] Identifying Streets; How?

Terry,

The easiest way to start is to log into OSM, view a small area of the
map you want to update, then click on the 'edit' tab, and use the online
editor called potlatch to make changes. 

There are some very good tutorials on the wiki - look to the left of the
map on the main page & click on the words 'Help & wiki'. Scroll down a
short distance and there is a beginners guide.

There are several different ways of editing the map, & you can download
different programmes to do this, but you don't have to if you don't want
to. All of the editing programmes have their good points, & personally I
use more than one depending on what I want to do.
