[OSM-newbies] Impact of Ordnance Survey releasing data on OSM?

Today the Ordnance Survey released some of their mapping data into the 
public realm[1].

Since I'd heard about this some time ago I knew not to suspect today's 
announcement as an April fool's joke!

That said... what does the future hold now for OSM in the UK?  Should we 
pack up our kit and go home?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer is a definite no but I'd be interested 
to hear people's views on how this might affect OSM activity in the UK.
